Two new Jupiter satellites were discovered on archive images taken on the 27th September, 2011, with the 6.5 meter Magellan-Badde telescope at the Las Campanas Observatory. This raises the total satellite count for Jupiter to 66 (8 regular prograde, 6 irregular prograde and 52 irregular retrograde orbits).

S/2011 J 1 orbits Jupiter in 582.2 days at an inclination of 162,8°.
S/2011 J 2 orbits Jupiter in 725.06 days at an inclination of 151.8°.
