The Ufana meteorite fell many decades ago, and the village grew and split. The area of interest now is a place called Daffir not to be confused with the conflict area in Sudan.

The Ufana (EL6) meteorite fell in Arusha, Tanzania, on the 5th August, 1957.
A total mass of 189.2 g was recovered.

4° 16'S, 35° 21'E
