NGC 2893 (also IRAS 09273+2945, MCG 5-23-5, UGC 5060 and PGC 26979) is a magnitude +12.9 face-on spiral galaxy located 78 million light-years away in the constellation Leo.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, Berkshire, on the 13th March 1785.
