Tropical Cyclone George was captured by NASA’s Terra satellite on March 8, at 10:55 a.m., local time (1:55 UTC), as it headed towards Port Hedland in northern Western Australia.
The storm lacks a distinct eye, but packed sustained winds of 200 kilometres per hour, with gusts of 250 km/hr.
