Street artist 'Russia's answer to Bansky'

A mysterious Russian street artist is being compared to Britain's Banksy, with his graffiti stencils selling for hundreds of thousands of pounds.
The Russian's guerilla artworks range from intricate spray-paintings, to complex combinations of fire, music and video.

Graffiti to cover vehicles in Inverness arts project
 
Motorists have volunteered to have their cars and vans covered in graffiti as part of a city's art project.
Inverness Old Town Art (Iota) has organised the project, which has support from Highland Council.

Tomb graffiti is "a spontaneous verbal outburst" that can help archaeologists learn more about ancient communities. The history sleuths decipher the messages and learn about the personal and private lives of ancient Jews.

Aramaic is the lingua franca of the ancient Middle East, the linguistic root of modern day Hebrew and Arabic.

"Once you understand Aramaic, you can read anything. You can read Hebrew, you can read Phoenician. I always call it the little black dress of Semitic languages" - Karen Stern, archaeologist.
