Andy Strangeway, a painter and decorator from York, has set himself the goal of sleeping on all of Scotland's 162 islands (those larger than 40 hectares).

In 2002, I read about the 162 Scottish islands, which were over 40 hectares. I was amazed to learn that no one had ever landed on them all. As I digested this thought, I realised too that, not one person existed, past or present, who was in a position to compare them all, based on their own personal experience.
