Indonesia is planning to build a suspension bridge from Sumatra to Sangian and on to Java. The bridge will be 50 kilometres long and cost about $12 billion. It will also be about 70 meters high to allow ships to pass beneath it. It will be the longest suspension bridge in the world and pass near some of the worlds most powerful volcanoes and earthquake faults.
