A gang has been arrested in Eastern Europe trying to sell enriched uranium, triggering fears that it was going to be used in a radiological dirty bomb by terrorists. Two Hungarians and a Ukrainian man were arrested as they tried to sell the uranium, during raids in eastern Slovakia and Hungary last night. Michal Kopcik, vice president of the Slovak police, said that the three suspects were found in possession of just under half a kilo of uranium in powder form. Investigators believe it came from somewhere in the former Soviet Union.
