A Thin Blue Line-September Sage 2011.

A video of the third launch of "A Thin Blue Line" high power rocket which occurred on September 2, 2011 at the Oregon Rocketry September Sage Launch in Brothers, Oregon. The rocket achieved an altitude of 11, 618 feet. The altimeter used is a Perfectflight MAWD. The tracking device in the rocket nosecone is an amateur radio 70cm transmitter made by Big Red Bee.

A team of graduate students and faculty advisors in the University of Washington's aeronautics and astronautics department are available today to show off the rocket they built from scratch. The team leaves tomorrow for Utah, where the rocket will compete to carry a 10-pound payload to 10,000 feet.

A group of Utah State University students has won the overall first place in NASAs annual University Student Launch Initiative contest held in Alabama.
USU students placed first, while a group from the University of Alabama placed second and the Florida Institute of Technology took third place and picked up the Rookie Award.
As the overall winner of the competition, the USU group will receive prize money of $5,000 and an invitation to see the space shuttle launch in Florida this autumn.
