On August 10, 1972 a daylight fireball grazed the earth's atmosphere from Utah to Alberta.  The meteor was caught on film and the USAF satellite-borne near-infrared radiometer, which indicated that the object exited the atmosphere over Canada.  Size estimates put the object anywhere between 2 and 80 meters in diameter.



El 10 de Agosto de 1972 una bola de fuego surcó la atmósfera terrestre desde Utah a Alberta durante 101 segundos, recorriendo una distancia de 1000 millas a una velocidad de 14'7 kilómetros por segundo. El asteroide fue filmado y un satélite de la fuerzas armadas estadounidenses detectó por radiometría de infrarojos la alteración atmosférica. De un tamaño de entre 2 a 80 metros de diámetro, de haber impactado en la superficie, habría formado un cráter del tamaño de una ciudad mediana.
