Supernova 2008R

A bright magnitude 14.6, Type Ia supernova, 2008R, was discovered on the 27th January, 2008, by Koichi Itagaki, in the SA(s)0 galaxy NGC 1200 in the constellation Eridanus.
The supernova is located 12" west and 9" south of the nucleus of the galaxy.

Position(2000): R.A. = 03h03m53s.70, Dec. = -11°59'39".4

z = 0.013503
