Named for Ralph Buckstaff, an Oshkosh astronomer, Buckstaff planetarium was completed in 1964. The planetarium is available for students, faculty and the community to use. It serves as an Astronomy and Space Science Education Resource Centre. The planetarium is an outreach unit of the Department of Physics and Astronomy. We believe real sky observing is at the heart of astronomy education and we promote sky watching through classroom observing sessions. The planetarium houses an exhibit hall, astronomical charts, and a hemispherical domed sky theatre. Read more
