Jin Beize (Beijing Technology and University Business) has announced the discovery of a comet by CAT Tao Chen (Suzhou City, Jiangsu province, China) on a CCD image taken on February 01, 2008 by Xing Gao (Urumqi, Xinjiang province) using a wide-field 7-cm, 200-mm-f.l., f/2.8 camera lens and 350D camera at the Observatory Wingming (MT Nanshan, Xinjiang province) of the Xingming Observation Nova Survey. The comet images were identified on photographs which had been taken by Gao on January 30, when the comet was magnitude 14.0, and on January 31 when the comet was magnitude 13.5. Gao obtained confirmation images on February 02, showing that its brightness continued to increase. Preliminary observations showed that the Perihelion will be on April 17, 2008 has been, at a distance of 1.27 astronomical units, when it will be at a brightness of approximately magnitude 11.
