The Express-AM22 satellite that was launched on 28th December, 2003,  has had a gyro failure.
The satellite orbits geosynchronously at 53°E and provided communications services such as digital TV, telephony, videoconferencing, data transmission, and Internet access.
The satellite was operated by Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC).
