It's a mystery mirror. Weighing 100 pounds, with at least a 100-year history, the circle of greenish glass is known in Sudbury astronomy circles as the "Vatican Mirror." But on its wooden crate, a little charred from a recent fire, in Latin it has another name inscribed - Speculum Jusititae. Mirror of Justice. The Virgin Mary was also called by the name. Sudbury, you might not realise, has a long history of folks looking up at the stars, planets and galaxies.
