On May 23, at Plesetsk Launching Site, the Yubileiny small satellite was successfully launched. The satellite was manufactured by the JSC Academician M.F. Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems jointly with cooperative enterprises.
Launching the spacecraft into low circular orbit was implemented in normal mode. The Commander of Space Forces Vladimir Popovkin and the General Designer and General Director of the JSC ISS Nickolay Testoyedov were at the launching.

The Yubileyny and three Gonets-M satellites were successfully launched  from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome, at 19:20.09 s MST.

 A Russian Rokot/Briz-KM launch vehicle will put into orbit the Gonets-D1M 2, Gonets-D1M 3, Gonets-D1M 4 military satellites and the civilian Yubileyniy satellite today at 15:30 UT, from the Plesetsk space centre, in northwest Russia.
The Yubileyniy satellite carries communication equipment for amateur radio operators and is designed to test new satellite avionic components.
Yubileyniy was named to honour the 50th anniversary of the first satellite in 1957.

The Rokot launch vehicle, developed by the state-run Khrunichev Centre, is a modification of the RS-18 (SS-19 Mod 1 Stiletto) two-stage ballistic missile that is being decommissioned from Russia's Strategic Missile Forces.
