Ventastega was a Tiktaalik-like tetrapodomorph that lived in the Late Devonian time. Ventastega probably lived in swamps or freshwater lakes. Like Tiktaalik, Ventastega was probably more aquatic than terrestrial. Read more __________________

Although an earlier discovery found a slightly older animal that was more fish than tetrapod, Ventastega is more tetrapod than fish. Read more __________________
