The Selangor government is building an astronomy station for educational, research and tourism purposes apart from facilitating the sighting of the new moon to determine the start of Ramadan and Aidilfitri.
The RM2 million station, which will be built on a 0.4ha site in Sungai Lang, Sabak Bernam, will be completed at the end of next year, said Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
