The Standing Stones of Torhouse are a circle of nineteen granite boulders on the land of Torhouse, three miles west of Wigtown, Scotland. Also known as the Standing Stones of Torhouse this 19m diameter stone circle consists of some 19 large granite boulders, ranging in height from 0.60m to 1.45m. This type of stone circle is most commonly found in north-east Scotland and is therefore unusual for this area.
The surrounding area (the Machars peninsula) is rich in pre-historic remains, most notably the Torhousekie Standing Stones, a Neolithic stone circle aligned to the winter solstice.
