G.J. Garradd (Siding Spring Survey) has discovered a new comet on the  13 August, 2008, which was later confirmed by observations by C. Jacques and E. Pimentel (CEAMIG-REA Observatory).
The preliminary orbital elements of  the comet indicate a  perihelion passage on July 2, 2009, at a distance of 3.6 AU from the Sun.
