Run this code inside Firefox's Error Console to speed up the browser by limiting the history size.
  • Open the Error Console: Tools menu/Error Console
  • In the Code text box paste this:
    Components.classes["@mozilla.org/browser/nav-history-service;1"].getService(Components.interfaces.nsPIPlacesDatabase).DBConnection.executeSimpleSQL("VACUUM");
  • Press Evaluate.

Alternatively, go to Options - Privacy. and choose 'Use custom settings for history'; and choose 3 days instead of the default 90 days.

While this release is considered to be stable, it is intended for developers and members of our testing community to use for early evaluation and feedback. Users of the latest released version of Firefox should not expect all of their add-ons to work properly with this milestone.
