Darvaz Crater in Uzbekistan is called by locals "The Door to Hell". It is situated near the small town of Darvaz.
The 50-100 meter diameter crater was  created by an accidental explosion and ground collapse as a result of natural gas exploratory drilling in 1986.
The ignited natural gas has been burning ever since.
