Yves Rossy, nicknamed the Jet Man, has failed in his attempt to become the first person to make an intercontinental flight, from Morocco in Africa to southern Spain, by jet wing. The pilot had to ditch in the sea shortly after jumping from a plane.
French aviation adventurer Yves Rossy has flown his fixed-wing, jet-propelled "Fusion" flying apparatus into history this morning. His successful flight from just outside Calais, France to the White Cliffs of Dover, England was a stunning success.
