On 1st November, Borders bookshop in the retail park on the eastern perimeter of Inverness city and alongside the HQ of Highlands and Islands Enterprise will host a very strange event. The 2009 Highland Science Festival is launching there and then with two speed-of-light lectures in a potting shed on - Einstein's theory of relativity and quantum theory. Each lecture will be timed on two minutes and a team of helpers will shepherd a series of audiences of one at a time into the shed - and out again - in the briefest history of time possible.
