Three Astronomers: Brian Sheen, Geoff Ryder, Mike Dilworth from the Royal Astronomical Society in the United Kingdom are presently on expedition to Africa for six months. Brian Sheen, a renowned Cornish Scout Leader and Head of the Roseland Astronomical Observatory, is leading the expedition. The three are using Sierra Leone as an entry point to River Niger, where they would build a trench canoe to continue their expedition to other African Countries. The purpose of the expedition is to promote astronomy in Africa.
