Archaeologists have discovered new evidence of ancient ruins, medieval farming and a secret operations bunker on Leckhampton Hill.
A team of experts from Gloucestershire made the exciting finds using latest imaging technology.
They used hand-held pulse devices called magnetometers to measure magnetic fields on the site and later carried out a resistivity survey funded with £3,000 from English Heritage.
When the data was fed back onto computers and analysed, it uncovered the walls and buildings of an ancient hill fort from 200BC.
The Iron Age fort was first examined by archaeologists in 1925. In 1969 and 1970 the site was subject to more detailed excavations during two month-long digs led by Oxford archaeologist Sara Champion.
