Rose Atoll, located approximately 130 nautical miles east-southeast of Pago Pago Harbour, American Samoa, and is the easternmost Samoan island and the only atoll in the Samoan Archipelago, will become a US National Monument.
It is currently a US National Wildlife Refuge that is closed to the public.
