Cambridge University has created its own version of Top Trumps - based on artefacts at its museums. The set of free playing cards will be handed out at its museums fair on Saturday, and includes historic items such as Roman knife sets, meteorites and models of horses teeth used to train French cavalry officers.
Cambridge University is preparing to celebrate its 800th anniversary today. The university was founded after scholars from Oxford gathered to study at the ancient Roman trading post of Cambridge in 1209. A year of celebrations will start on Saturday, when the university stages a light show in Cambridge and church bells ring.
