Stacy Palen, an assistant professor at Weber State, will discuss "Listening to the Universe - A lecture on the latest in radio telescopes" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, in the Museum of the Rockies' Hager Auditorium. According to event organisers, the very large array, which is the most powerful radio telescope on the planet, is in the midst of an upgrade. It will soon see more of the sky, in more detail, across more of the radio spectrum than ever before. Palen will discuss the very large array, including what is happening with it, what's new, and what to expect in the near future.
