Iran to launch three new satellites

Iran plans to launch three new domestically-manufactured satellites, Defence Minister Ahmad Vahidi has said.
The satellites named Fajr (Dawn), Navid (Promise) and Tolou (Sunrise) will be launched during the current Iranian calendar year, which ends March 19, Vahidi was quoted as saying by the Mehr news agency.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says Iran is planning to manufacture new rockets capable of sending heavier satellites into space.
President Ahmadinejad told a gathering of Iranian expatriates on Tuesday that Iran planned to build rockets with a range of 700 to 1500 kilometres to send bigger satellites into space.
