Deep space will come into view from Eden Prairie, likely by fall, at a new observatory made possible by a $125,000 gift from Doug and Carolyn Kohrs of Edina. Using the money provided by the Kohrs and a $10,000 donation from Steve and Sue Mohn of Eden Prairie, the city will build a $100,000 observatory at Staring Lake where stargazers will be able to look through a high-powered, deep-space telescope. Work will start by June 1.
