The nova in Centaurus has now been confirmed and named V1213 Centauri.

A possible magnitude 8.5  nova (VSX J133115.7-635738) has been discovered on the 11th May, 2009, by  G. Pojmanski ( ASAS Project) in the constellation Centaurus.

Position(2000): RA: 13h31m15s.76, Dec: -63° 57' 38".5
