Akshai Baskaran, a Kennewick High sophomore, can look forward to that distinction after winning first place in his division at an international science fair that pitted him against 1,500 students from 51 countries. Akshai, an American born boy of Indian origin, will have the an asteroid named after him. The Ceres Connection, a programme of the Massachusetts Institute of Technologys Lincoln Laboratory, which names minor planets after top finishers, has decided to name an asteroid after Akshai in the recently concluded Intel International Science and Engieering Fair held in Nevada.
