SkyMap Pro 11 has been released.
It is supplied on two CD-ROMs and contains over 1GB of data, but you can download a demo (7.5Mb) that comprises the program, manual, a small database of 15,000 stars (down to magnitude 7) and about 7,000 deep sky objects. It runs entirely from hard disk, occupying 14MB of hard disk space when installed…
The only bad thing about the demo is that any printed star charts are "watermarked" to indicate that they were produced by the demonstration version of the program, and the demo will self destruct after being run for 15 days…
But it’s fairly simple to use…
Oh and the price for the real thing….too expensive for my needs…I’ll give this one a miss.
