Hong Kong raised its typhoon Signal No. 3 as Tropical Storm Nangka headed for the coast of southern China after sweeping across the Philippines, where it left 11 people dead and caused widespread damage. The centre of Nangka was 220 kilometres southeast of Hong Kong at 4 p.m. local time, the Hong Kong Observatory said in a bulletin after raising the Strong Wind No. 3 Signal, which means winds of between 41 and 62 km/h are expected.
