MusicBrainz, Free MP3 tagger (ID3) I and alot of other people on the Internet purchased a piece of junk application called FixTunes written by someone disguised as a company called CloudBrain. Well after searching around on the Internet for a while I found a great site called MusicBrainz.org.
MusicBrainz is a community music metadatabase that attempts to create a comprehensive music information site. You can use the MusicBrainz Tagger to automatically identify and clean up the metadata tags in your digital music collections.
If you're sick of getting things for free on 4oD or perhaps aren't down with those naughty P2P clients it looks like you're in luck. Channel 4 has just agreed a deal with Apple to puts its flagship shows on iTunes UK.

Apples release of iTunes 7.4.1 put an end to the free transfer of current AAC tracks as ringtones to the iPhone for a day or so at least. Though the process is now a bit more involved, it still works... Read more
Apple has released iTunes 7.3.2. The description reads:

The launch of music tracks free of digital locks on iTunes has been overshadowed by the discovery that they contain data about who bought them. Some fear this data could be used to identify the owner of the tracks, if they turn up on file-sharing sites. The tracks from record company EMI cost more and are of a better quality than standard iTunes songs. Apple has yet to comment on what it plans to do with the information embedded in the music files.
