'Quietest' building in the world opens today The University of Bristol today (Monday 7 September, 2009) opens its Centre for Nanoscience and Quantum Information. This highly distinctive, £11 million building provides state-of-the-art specialised laboratories where vibration and acoustic noise levels are among the lowest ever achieved, despite being located in the centre of Bristol.
The Bristol Centre for Nanoscience and Quantum Information (NSQI) was delivered in May 2009. The building, located on Tyndall Avenue, is a unique inter-disciplinary centre and one of the finest facilities for Nanoscience and Quantum Information in the world, designed to keep Bristol at the forefront of research for decades.
