Typhoon Choi-wan will remain safely out in the Pacific Ocean off the east coast of Japan on Sunday. It will curve to the northeast while weakening to a Category 2 storm. While no landfall is expected, areas of breezy winds and strong surf will thrash against the east coast of Japan.
