Probe says ISRO shots were all from guard's service rifle

An investigation into the shooting that occurred in the wee hours of March 16 at the Byalalu unit of the Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) revealed that there was no firing from intruders. Ballistic experts submitted a report to state police confirming that there was no firing from outside.

ISRO shootout result of misunderstanding: minister

The shootout at the sensitive Deep Space Network (DSN) facility of India's space agency ISRO near here appears to be the result of a 'misunderstanding' and should not be given importance, the Karnataka government clarified Wednesday.

Security forces and two unidentified men have exchanged gunfire near India's space agency office in Bangalore.
Police said the two men escaped and it did not appear to have been a terror attack. No one was injured.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is heavily guarded - there have been reports about militants plotting to target it.
