This comet was very close to comet 29P/Schwassmann-Wachmann at the time of its discovery and may have been overlooked by many observers.

MPEC 2009 - U126

Comet C/2009 U6 (LINEAR) was discovered by the LINEAR telescope on the 27th October, 2009.
The preliminary orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage on the 26th August, 2009, at a distance of 1.61 AU from the Sun.
