FLV Player is a standalone application to play Flash .flv files with.
Play FLV files on any Windows PC. Double-click files in File Explorer to play them automatically. Zoom 50% - 100% - 200% and fullscreen.

There used to be something to be said for sticking with an old-fashioned phone which switched on when you picked it up and off when you put it down and was reasonably cheap to run if you were careful not to call long-distance.
It was simple and easy to use and while the younger generation were busy making their thumbs ache by constant text messaging most of us coped very nicely standing on the side of the telecoms revolution.
However, things have snowballed, largely due to the arrival of Voice Over Internet Technology VoIP for short. If the very title sounds off putting, it shouldn't.

Mobile phone operator 3 is joining forces with Skype to introduce a new low-cost handset that will allow users to make free calls using the mobile internet, the Guardian has reported.
A Skype mobile phone will be launched later this year and will be available to contract and pre-pay customers, according to the newspaper.

You can keep track of active meteor showers, find out when the next solar eclipse will be, see the details of the lunar surface through the lens of a telescope,  with widgets and gadgets for your desktop.
