Driven to Explore is a travelling exhibit produced by NASA that combines multimedia presentations, scale models, launch vehicles, spacesuits and gear. It all dovetails into why NASA is returning to moon exploration, said Bill Heidner, curator of the Heritage Centre museum at Yuma Proving Ground. The exhibit reviews NASA history, including the space shuttle, International Space Station and Apollo moon launches. The free program is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 6 and 7. But visitors must abide by standard entry requirements to access YPG, including a driver's license, proof of insurance, vehicle registration and photo ID for adults. Read more
