Lara Croft Way is Now a Real Street in England It all started last year, when the UK city of Derby took a vote on what to name one of its new streets. More than 27,000 people took part in the vote to name the new £36.2m Derby road. Lara Croft Way captured 89 percent of the votes, which was up against names after footballer Steve Bloomer, the astronomer John Flamsteed and the engineer George Sorocold. More than 27,000 people took part in the vote to name the new road. Lara Croft Way captured 89 percent of the votes; the other options for the road's name were Derby County footballer Steve Bloomer, the astronomer John Flamsteed and the engineer George Sorocold.
