The Fifie is a design of sailing boat developed on the east coast of Scotland. It was used by Scottish fishermen from the 1850s until well into the 20th century. These boats were mainly used to fish for herring using drift nets, and along with other designs of boat were known as herring drifters. Read more REAPER is a Fifie sailing herring drifter, the most popular design of fishing boat on the East Coast of Scotland for the greater part of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Built at Sandhaven near Fraserburgh in 1902 as a two masted lugger she is 70 ft long with a dipping lug foresail and a standing lug mizzen. Read more __________________
