Ace amateur astronomer and astrophotographer Anthony Wesley appears to have made yet another remarkable discovery on Jupiter. He watched and photographed a large fireball in Jupiter's atmosphere around 3:30 p.m. Central time today (Thursday)from his observatory in Australia. "I saw it visually, it was very obvious," said Wesley."The fireball lasted a couple of seconds and was very, very bright."

The location where the event occurred corresponds to the central meridian 300.1° system I, 34.1° system II, and 210.6° at system III, latitude 16° south. The region should be visible from about 4:00 to 6:30 UT on June 4th, favouring observers in Europe and Africa.

Anthony Wesley has reported another impact on Jupiter

At approximately 20:30 UTC, 3rd June, 2010,  Anthony Wesley recorded a bright flash that lasted a couple of seconds on Jupiter.
