Kazakhstan is looking to the heavens: Its cabinet on Monday approved a draft version of an ambitious new space technology development program to be implemented over the next four years.
Under the new program, the government will devote funds to further develop the scientific and technical knowledge of those working in the space agency as well as scientists working within applied science research. Kazakhstan also hopes to expand its fixed satellite communications and its satellite navigation services.
