A nearly century old Oshkosh landmark will soon be history. The Buckstaff Observatory, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is being dismantled and will be moved out of the area. The observatory, which includes three observatory buildings, was developed by Ralph Buckstaff, an Oshkosh businessman and amateur astronomer, beginning in 1924. The three domes that made up the observatory are currently sitting on palettes, waiting to be moved. Read more
