DENET 2011 Subaru HSC Workshop Time: March 7~8, 2011 Place: ASIAA Auditorium, Astronomy-Mathematics Building
We will hold a two-day workshop at ASIAA on the forthcoming Subaru Hyper Suprime-Cam (HSC) survey (2012-2017), through the sponsorship of DENET (International Research Network for Dark Energy) funded by JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science), a network of international centers motivated to stimulate interaction in the study of dark energy. Subaru HSC is a next generation wide-field (1.5deg field-of-view) prime-focus camera for the Japanese 8.2m Subaru Telescope at the summit of Mauna Kea, Hawaii. Development of the camera started in 2007 and is planned to be completed in fall 2011. ASIAA is an international partner of the Subaru HSC project. The HSC survey collaboration is open to astronomers based in Taiwan. Read more
