Scientist Narlikar named for Maharashtra state award

Eminent space scientist and astronomer Jayant Narlikar has been named as the recipient of the prestigious Maharashtra Bhushan 2010, an official said Monday.
The award, which consists of Rs.500,000 cash and a citation, is in recognition for Narlikar's over four decades of research in the field of astronomy and space.
