Isro satellite glitch robs farmers of data

The centres, set up under Abita's Grameen Krishi Unnayan Prakalpa (GKUP), in collaboration with Isro, through the North East Space Application Centre, Shillong, had been equipped with two computers - one for weather updates and the other with video conferencing facility to enable farmers to seek advice on disease control, fertiliser management, seasonal crop practices as well as sericulture and fishery from the Assam Agricultural University and the Abita-GKUP headquarters in Guwahati.
